Mike has been active with cars since 1998 when he started competing
in the Demolition Derbies at the Hallock Fairgrounds. He then
decided to move up to racing cars when the Rocket Speedway moved into Hallock,
Minnesota, in 2000. Since then, he has raced in the Pure Stock class at
the local tracks: Rocket Speedway in Hallock, Marshall County Speedway in
Warren, Greenbush Race Park in Greenbush, Norman County Raceway in Ada, and he followed the NOPA Circuit when they ran Pure
Stock Specials. He finished 2nd in the 2005 NOPA National
Points, 1st in the Rocket Speedway
overall points, 2nd in Greenbush Race Park overall points, and 2nd
in the Marshall County Speedway in Warren. He had a total of 4 feature
wins, 11 – 2nd place finishes, and 28 - top 10 finishes during his
2005 race career. He competed in 31 nights of racing during the 2005 race
season. In 2006, he was declared the 2006 NOPA Champion in the Pure
Stock class. Overall, he had 29 shows, 11 feature wins, and 25 Top 5
Finishes.
Tim has also been active since 1998 when he was Mike’s main pit
man. Tim started in 2002 with his own
Demolition Cars at eh Kittson County Fair.
He then joined his brother, Mike, and shared the driver seat of the Pure
Stock.
Mike and Tim care and maintain for their own equipment, taking into
consideration the suggestions of fellow race friends. Tim’s goal in the
Pure Stock for this year is to finish in the top 3 in overall points and to
come home with 3 feature wins for the season. Mike’s goal in the 4 Cylinder for
this year is to finish in the top 5 in overall points and to come home with 3
feature wins for the season. They will
be competing at the Greenbush Race Park, and possibly at the Morden Motor Speedway in Morden,
Manitoba, Canada.
