 Habitat

Prairie plant, grows well in full sun and medium to moist sandy soil.

 Flower

Purple to white to pale blue. Five fused petals form a trumpet shaped blossom. Paired blossoms form loose clusters along stems extending outward from leaf axils.

 Leaves

Opposite, finely toothed, sessile and lance shaped. Length 1 to 2 inches and 1/4 inch wide.
